Come scrive Elizabeth Wilson, nel suo Adorned in Dreams: Fashion and Modernity, la moda è in una parola cambiamento, simile alle condizioni atmosferiche in continua metamorfosi, così come gli stilisti sono i meteorologi, che prevedono ciò che il pubblico avrà bisogno, fornendogli un armadio che abbia come scopo quello di proteggere, mettersi in mostra o semplicemente intrattenere. Questo è ciò che rende il business della moda così affascinante, secondo Terry Jones, ex direttore di Vogue UK e fondatore del magazine britannico i-D dedicato al mondo della moda e dell’intrattenimento, nel 1980. Proprio in occasione del 25° anniversario della rivista nasce FASHION NOW, un’enciclopedia illustrata di oltre 160 designer, dal grande Karl Laagerfeld a Marc Jacobs, a nomi emergenti come Kim Jones e Tess Giberson, e i maestri dello sportswear come, Nike, Diesel e Sila. Ordinato alfabeticamente, include materiale biografico dettagliato e fotografie delle diverse creazioni stilistiche che rendono questo volume sicuramente un pezzo da collezione per ogni vero fashion addicted.
